to make the most of school holidays
Day 1 + 2 Bangkok
We have reserved twin-share accommodation ideally situated in Bangkok’s exotic shopping and entertainment centre near to Siam Square with easy access to Skytrain. Amenities include swimming pool and restaurant.

Day 3 Hua Hin
After a delicious buffet breakfast, we will transfer to Hua Hin. Once a quiet fishing village, Hua Hin grew into a fashionable escape for residents of Bangkok after the 1920s, when the Thai Royal family built palaces here. We will have plenty of time for a swim in our hotel pool and explore the beach. Dinner this evening will be in a market setting with good food, entertainment and traders selling a variety of quality goods. Perfect for souvenirs & gifts! Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 4 Prachuap Khiri Khan Province
Explore Thailand’s oldest marine National Park by boat and on foot. Expect beautiful limestone karsts, numerous birds, macaques and perhaps Dusky Langur monkeys. Visit the impressive Phraya Nakhon Cave, soak in the fabulous views. Tonight our coastal Resort is delightfully situated on the beach in close proximity to National Parks to ensure we make the most of this exceptional area. All meals included.
Day 5, 6 Prachuap Khiri Khan Province & elephants
Both days are all about relaxation and elephants, of course! After a leisurely breakfast at our hotel our morning is free to swim, explore or enjoy a massage. Afternoons and early evenings we will visit Kui Buri NP join Rangers for wildlife spotting including, hopefully, wild elephants. Apparently, the Park is home to three tigers! KBNP is well-policed with access only by ranger vehicles. Visitors must walk through foot-baths to protect the biodiversity of the NP.
All meals included.
Day 7 Ayutthaya
Today is a relaxed travel day. We will privately transfer to Ayutthaya stopping for lunch on the way. Ayutthaya was once the capital of Siam (ancient Thailand) with many historic temples and UNESCO sites for viewing. All meals included.
Day 8 Ayutthaya
Visit local markets, temples, museums and historical sites today as the group chooses. This evening we will have the option to select how and where we dine…an allowance will be provided to spend however you choose…dinner at a cosmopolitan riverside restaurant, a stroll through a local street market or perhaps even pizza. Ayutthaya has many options…eat as a group or take some ‘me’ time! Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 9-14 Ayutthaya & elephants
This morning we transfer to our reserved twin-share accommodation in a working elephant village, all meals included.
We will meet the elephants we will be caring for over the next week! Under the guidance of experienced mahouts, you will be responsible for a retired elephant’s daily welfare. Throughout the week you will get to know your elephant’s personality and enjoy the mutual delights of that insight.
Every day we will clean up after our elephants (so be prepared to use a rake and broom) and throughout the day make sure they have plenty to eat and drink. Twice a day we will take our elephants to the river so we can all cool down, drink and play. (Riding optional) Each afternoon we will also pamper elephants with a scrubbing massage. There will be plenty of time to witness daily life in the community, to join in village activities and to enjoy interacting with the calves in the nursery.
During our week we may visit other aspects of the Foundation set up to provide elephants with a safe and sustainable future. All meals included.
